Laila Smith-Blose, who works for the Midlands Meander Education Project, gave a friend the most thoughtful gift ever – she promised to volunteer at Fundanenja for a while, rather than spending money on something that her friend didn’t really need.

  Now she can’t wait for Friday afternoons, to spend time in the township with all the adorable puppies and kids which she recognises from the various schools.  She believes that learning to love their dogs, treating them with respect and gentleness will go a long way towards healing the problems in this community.  She has encouraged all her colleagues to help out too.
